About the Project | Images
From 1975-1980, as a student at the International Center of Photography
in New York City, my journey into exploring society through photography
began. Between Avenue C and D, I learned how to use my camera, how to
think on my feet, how to be street smart, how to listen, how to become
involved, how to be an outsider yet be included into a different world,
how to experience love and strife, struggle and caring of an impoverished
neighborhood, and, above all, how to be a witness.
