About the Project | Images

I’m not just concerned with documenting the shrines. I want to become involved with the families—the neighborhood. I want to hear the stories. I want to bring alive the premature deaths of these young people—to show the spirit, the caring, the grieving and the injustices that surrounds family and friends of the victims. I want others to notice and understand the meaning, the rituals behind the Rest in Peace memorials, the respect and mourning, and not just see scribbling on a wall.
